Overview
Theatre International (MTI) manages the theatrical licensing rights for the stage adaptation of Dr. Seuss’s The Cat in the Hat.
When you purchase the rights, you will be sent a packet of scripts and production notes. The notes do not include any working drawings you can use to build scenery or props; however, they do include some silhouette outlines of the props and furniture. I used an overhead projector to cartoon the silhouette and, from then on, free build from scratch.
The packet includes a few ideas for a 2D cutout of a Picking-Up-Machine, but I wanted a 3D version instead.
